Transitioning UserAugust 8, 2016 3-in-1 Deep FryerI got this product delivered on Thursday last week. Very excited. Launched it on Saturday, preparing fried potatoes for the family lunch.

A little background. I have owned an electric style deep-fryer (4ltrs) for about 8 years and it has served me beautifully. I just got tired of the quantity of oil i have to put in every time and how the oil gets black after about 4 repeated uses and I have to start all over again! So i opted for this one because i thought it would do the same job at less expense.

My opinion:

This fryer is not for you if you are looking for something that delivers close to what the electric types offer.

Let me start with the 'pot'. The metal is very thin and light, susceptible to denting. Be careful not to use iron scourer on it! It would probably spring a leak in a very short time if you do that, being made of such lightweight material.

Then to the frying process. I don't even know where to begin! The drainer handles kept falling into the oil while it was in use. I had to use one hand to hold the frying basket handle and my cooking spoon wa
